System Ping#
Workflows → SPSystem Pings
The SystemPing workflow is used to verify reachability between the nodes via the DefaultRouter. It works by selecting either nodes or SystemInterface resources directly, and pinging between each pair of system IP addresses.
Info
If the nodes or nodeSelectors properties are used, the workflow will look for SystemInterface resources configured on those nodes. If no SystemInterfaces were detected, the node will be ignored.
Pings are done intelligently, meaning that if the workflow already pinged leaf2 from leaf1, there will not be a ping to leaf1 from leaf2.
The workflow result contains an entry for each unique pair of system IP addresses, and the result of the ping between the two including minimum, maximum, and average latency.
Dependencies#
The SystemPing workflow has no dependencies.
Referenced resources#
SystemInterface#
If the workflow is created for a set of manually selected system interfaces, these resources must be created first.

SystemPing
SPEC
SystemPing allows performing ping between systems to their system interfaces.

AddressFamily is the address family to use for the ping. It can be one of the following values: - "Ipv4": Use Ipv4 addresses for the ping. - "Ipv6": Use Ipv6 addresses for the ping. - "DualStack": Use both Ipv4 and Ipv6 addresses for the ping.

Count is the number of pings to send.

List of node selectors to select nodes whose system interfaces will be pinged. This matches labels on TopoNode resources. If no nodes and no node selectors and no systemInterfaces as well no systemInterface selectors are specified, then all nodes in the given namespace will be selected. This is a list of label expressions, e.g. ["eda.nokia.com/role=leaf"].
